Travis Rowdy Experience

The Travis Rowdy Experience is a psychedelic indie blues project based in Arcata, California, led by songwriter and poet Travis Rowdy. Blending reverb-drenched electric guitar, synthesizers, and a bluesy rock backbone, the group explores dark, introspective themes drawn from Rowdy's background in creative writing, poetry and spoken word. The act released the Travis Rowdy EP in 2017 and Los Ego Muerte in 2018 before the full-band album Songs from the Underworld in 2024, recorded at Bongo Boy Studio in McKinleyville. They are regulars on the Humboldt County circuit, appearing at local stages and community festivals such as Arcata's Sunny Brae Porch Fest.
