Tony Austin

Tony Austin is a Grammy-winning drummer, composer, producer and recording engineer based in Los Angeles. He is a core member of the West Coast Get Down collective, the Los Angeles jazz-fusion family behind Kamasi Washington's The Epic, and has toured and recorded with artists including Kamasi Washington, Miles Mosley, Carlos Santana, Erykah Badu, Gwen Stefani, Lauryn Hill and Willow Smith. He produced, engineered and drummed on Washington's The Epic and Miles Mosley's Uprising, and co-leads the heavy-soul duo BFI with Mosley. He also scored television and film projects and has performed for U.S. troops on bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.
