Tommy Harkenrider's Memphis Kings Blues

Tommy Harkenrider's Memphis Kings are a Southern California-based blues and roots band originally formed over fifteen years ago as a support band for touring musicians. Led by guitarist and educator Tommy Harkenrider (originally from Las Vegas, now based in Orange County/Los Angeles), the core trio includes drummer Ron Felton and bassist Joe Jazdzewski, joined at Redwood Coast by Ron Dziubla on tenor sax and Jim Jedeikin on bari sax. Their sound is shaped by vintage 1940s-1950s California jump blues and western swing, developed through collaborations with West Coast legends Lynwood Slim, James Harman, Big Jay McNeely, Big Sandy, Kid Ramos and international artists including Nico Duportal and Paul Pigat.
