Tom Rigney & Flambeau

Tom Rigney is a San Francisco Bay Area electric violinist and Cajun fiddler who has been a fixture of the Bay Area roots music scene for nearly fifty years and has led Tom Rigney and Flambeau since 2000 after fifteen years fronting The Sundogs. The band specializes in fiery Cajun and zydeco two-steps, low-down blues, funky New Orleans grooves and boogie-woogie piano, led by Rigney's virtuosic fiddling and commanding stage presence in his notorious red boots. With pianist Caroline Dahl, guitarists Anthony Paule and Marc Brinitzer, bassist Sam Rocha and drummer Brent Rampone, Flambeau delivers high-energy, tightly arranged dance music built on original compositions and infectious grooves.
