The Wild Hare Tavern

The Wild Hare Tavern is a full bar, restaurant and live music venue at 915 H Street in Arcata, California, just off the Arcata Plaza. Opened in December 2024 by lifelong Arcata bartender Angela Robershotte in the remodeled former Jambalaya and Jam space, it retains the room's stage and sound system for bands and DJs while hosting drag brunches, comedy, dance nights and community game nights. The kitchen, led by chef Kevin Hover, serves a scratch-made, locally sourced bar menu alongside 12 beers on tap and signature cocktails including the Old Fashioned and the kombucha-based Booch Bomb. It has become a welcoming, community-minded hub of Humboldt County nightlife.
