The Stinkfoot Orchestra is a 14-piece tribute to Frank Zappa based in San Jose, California, built around a six-piece horn section, tuned percussion, and multiple vocalists. Founded in 2019 by keyboardist Nick Chargin, the ensemble spent the pandemic transcribing Zappa's catalog and first hit the stage in September 2021, touring the West Coast since the summer of 2022. The group is fronted alternately by original Zappa vocalists Napoleon Murphy Brock, Ray White, and the late Ike Willis, lending its performances an authentic link to the Maestro's 1970s and '80s bands. Their shows blend technical precision with theatrical humor, on-stage vignettes, audience participation, and flying rubber chickens.
