The Oyster Baes

The Oyster Baes are an eclectic folk and orchestral rock band from the Arcata area of Humboldt County, California, whose members have been playing together since September 2018. Fronted by Maia Pini on vocals and rhythm guitar, the group pairs traditional folk songwriting with orchestral textures from Kristina Zabierek's cello and Annie Fehrenbach's clarinet and bass clarinet, alongside Ralph Till on lead guitar and vocals and Claire Till on drums. Their debut album Pearls arrived in October 2022, recorded at Bongo Boy Studio in McKinleyville and built on layered vocal harmonies and genre-blurring arrangements. The band performs regularly at North Coast gatherings including the Humboldt Folklife Festival, Bigfoot Brewfest, and Arcata's Sunny Brae Porch Fest.
