The Movement

The Movement has been winning the hearts and minds of alt-reggae fans since forming in Columbia, SC in 2003. Founded by childhood friends Joshua Swain and Jordan Miller, the band blends reggae with rock, hip-hop and dub underpinnings driven by insightful lyrics and heavy drum and bass. Now led by Swain with Jason Schmidt (bass), Gary Jackson (drums), Matt Goodwin (keys) and Kyle Jerome (sax/percussion), they have released nine studio albums including Billboard Reggae #1s Golden (2016) and Ways of the World (2019). Their ninth album Visions (2025) on R4RE Records features collaborations with Stick Figure, The Elovaters, 311 and Tribal Seeds.
