The Creepy Crawlies

The Creepy Crawlies is a Los Angeles-based indie rock/punk project founded by songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Chris Donlon with vocalist/keyboardist Kate Mclean, now continued as a solo endeavor by Donlon. Their debut jangle-pop/shoegaze album 'GET BURIED!' (2012) was described by No Ripcord as a cacophony of distortion and biting lyrics, followed by the long-gestating follow-up 'WEEDS' (2023) recorded entirely by Donlon over many years. The band is known for twisty guitars, Wurlitzer, sampled found sounds, and introspective bedroom-pop songwriting touching on isolation and derealization.
