The Altons

The Altons are a retro-indie-soul group from Southeast Los Angeles (Maywood, CA) signed to Penrose Records, the Daptone Records subsidiary highlighting the emerging SoCal soul scene. Natives of the region, they combine dust kicked up from backyard parties with evening Art Laboe listening sessions, blending intense grooves, soulful leads and Latin-inspired / psychedelic flavors. Quickly becoming a staple of the local scene, their Penrose debut 'When You Go (That's When You'll Know)' was KCRW's Today's Top Tune, followed by singles 'Tangled Up In You' (featured on Soulection Radio) and 'Float'.
