Shlump

Shlump is the bass music project of California producer Michael Petzel, who grew up in Sebastopol and the Bay Area and began producing after a childhood steeped in metal, punk, and guitar. Drawing on classic dubstep, West Coast flavor, and otherworldly sound design, he has developed a signature Alien Bass style built on massive low end and intricate, futuristic detail. His releases have arrived via WAKAAN, Deadbeats, Circus Records, and Deep Dark & Dangerous, with collaborations alongside Liquid Stranger, LSDREAM, and Doctor P. He has performed at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Shambhala, and Bass Canyon, and released The Chronicles of Shlump Vol. 1: Sine Waves & Stardust in 2026.
