San Lyon

San Lyon is a Los Angeles-based swing jazz quartet whose sound blends early 20th century Parisian Gypsy Jazz with American jazz standards of the 1920s through '40s and their own vintage-inspired originals. The band formed in 2019 and takes its name from the hometowns of its members: Paige Herschell of San Antonio, Dani Vargas of Santiago, and Jenna Colombet of Lyon, France. With Katie Cavera rounding out the lineup on bass and banjo, the group has become a favorite of swing dance communities, performing at the Redwood Coast Music Festival, Jazz Bash by the Bay in Monterey, the Hot Jazz Jubilee in Sacramento, and the Django Birthday Festival in Berkeley. Their repertoire moves between French and English jazz, with several releases including the original album San Lyon & Friends.
