Richard B. Simon

Simon is an American rock journalist, writing professor and author. His novel manuscript "The Dolphin Ambassador's Daughter" was a finalist for the 2021 PEN/Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction and his journalism and fiction have appeared in Rolling Stone, Juxtapoz, Relix, MTV, VH1.com and literary journals. An expatriated New Yorker and exiled San Franciscan, he now lives in the Pacific Northwest (Bellingham, WA) where he runs Bright Spider Press and teaches writing; his current book tour presents improvisational readings with live musicians.
