Red Hot Shame & Barking Dogma

A Humboldt County double bill of two veteran Northern California acts. Red Hot Shame is the indie rock project of Eureka singer-songwriter and guitarist Xeff Scolari, whose rotating lineup of collaborators plays melodic, psychedelic-tinged rock across releases like My Satellite, You Can't Make Me and A Crumbling World. Barking Dogma is an Arcata-based art-rock and progressive collective formed in 1992 and revived in 2021, fronted by vocalist Peggy Martinez and featuring a full sax section as it performs the intricate compositions of the late songwriter Kevyn Dymond. Both bands are longtime fixtures of the region's live music scene.
