Piet Dalmolen Band

Piet Dalmolen is a guitarist/singer/songwriter and veteran studio engineer based in Arcata, Humboldt County, CA, known for psychedelic rock, soulful jazzy blues, and indie-Americana. After touring nationally in the mid-2000s with jamband Nucleus and 15 years as a Northern California sideman, he released his debut solo LP Time Stands Still on January 17, 2025, recorded at Odyssey Studios and his own Universal Balance Studios in Arcata with collaborators Matt Engel (keyboards), Tommy Fitzmaurice (drums), and Ian Taylor (bass). The album was inspired by a 2023 trip to Maui, where he fled the Lahaina fires, and blends Floydian dreamscapes, prog psychedelia, and surf-rock.
