Overland Swing Express

Overland Swing Express is a traditional jazz and swing ensemble built around the collaboration between vocalist Alice Spencer and drummer/bandleader Hal Smith's Overland Swing, with guitarist Jonathan Stout featured in the group. They play the small-band swing and hot jazz of the 1930s and '40s, blending classic American songbook standards with jump-blues and dance-ready arrangements. The outfit is a recurring fixture at Northern California's Redwood Coast Music Festival in Eureka.
