Opera Alley Cats

The Opera Alley Cats are a Humboldt County jazz ensemble based in Eureka's Old Town, best known for their long-running free Tuesday night residency at the Speakeasy (also regularly at The Basement). Described by the North Coast Journal as one of the finest jazz ensembles on the West Coast and one of the area's most talented groups of jazz-bos, they specialize in tight, intimate-setting traditional jazz ideal for small rooms. Shows are free with a tip jar for the band and bartenders, starting around 7 p.m., featuring players including trombonist Brian.
