Norton Subtonic

Norton Subtonic is the Arcata, California experimental electronics project of Michel Sargent, who builds sound collages from found recordings and other people's material, layered with analog synthesizer. Releases include the 2014 EPs Polite Chuckles and Dim-witted Population Controlled By A Self-Perpetuating Elite, A Revelation Which Has Nothing In This War As In All Wars, the latter accompanied by the anti-war science-fiction film The Big Picture, plus the 2018 piece Train Along the Bay. Sargent is also a regular provider of live visuals for Humboldt County goth and darkwave nights, and has performed and recorded with Medicine Baul and The Tweeners.
