Mike Davis & The New Wonders

The New Wonders are a New York City-based hot jazz septet led by cornetist, arranger, and vocalist Mike Davis. Named after the Conn "New Wonder" cornet favored by Bix Beiderbecke, the band recreates the sound of 1920s and 1930s jazz with period-accurate arrangements that evoke vintage 78 rpm records, drawing on Bix, Red Nichols, and the California Ramblers. Their debut album, The New Wonders, arrived in 2023, followed by Steppin' Out and Puttin' On the Ritz. The group performs regularly around New York City and at jazz festivals and venues across the country.
