Matthew Wallace & the Flying Saucers are a Countredelic Americana outfit based in Eureka, California. Bandleader Matthew Wallace, born and raised in Kaufman County, Texas, blends country, folk, ragtime, gospel, and rock 'n' roll into a burly, vintage Southern-rock and country-blues sound built around bottleneck slide guitar, banjo, and piano. Backed by his intrepid Flying Saucers, he has released the albums Pyramids & Street Corners (2018) and Shovel Ready (2021), the latter tracked with his studio band the Stolen Horses at Redding's After Hours Recorders. The group performs across Northern California at fairs, festivals, wineries, and clubs.
