Marc Caparone Quintet

Led by cornetist and trumpeter Marc Caparone, the Marc Caparone Quintet performs classic hot jazz and swing of the 1920s and '30s, carrying on the traditions of the great early jazz brass players. A Paso Robles, California native and the son of a jazz trombonist, Caparone has appeared around the world with groups such as Hal Smith's Rhythmakers, Clint Baker's New Orleans Jazz Band, the High Sierra Jazz Band, and the Holland-Coots Quintet, often alongside his wife, vocalist Dawn Lambeth. The ensemble is a fixture of West Coast traditional-jazz, ragtime, and swing festivals.
