Los Lonely Stars

Los Lonely Stars is a Los Angeles-based tribute band honoring Los Saicos, the 1960s Peruvian group widely regarded as early pioneers of punk. Fronted by Andrew Gastelum on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, the four-piece also features John Ponce on bass, Jorge Garcia on lead guitar, and Michael Villegas on drums, all sharing vocal duties. They perform the ¡Demolición! material in its raw, primitive garage-rock form while folding in covers from Caifanes, Interpol, and the Misfits. Rooted in Boyle Heights and the greater LA garage scene, the band has played throughout Southern California, Tijuana, and San Luis Potosí.
