Lee Phillips

Lee Phillips is a Humboldt County-based jazz bassist best known as the bassist for After Hours, a local ensemble specializing in deep-cut jazz — the tunes that didn't make the standards lists but should have. The quintet — Ramsey Isaacs on drums, Matt Seno on piano, Lee Phillips on bass, Russ Thallheimer on saxophone and tap dancer Miles Schmidt of Tapology — built a following in Arcata, selling out the Arcata Playhouse in December and headlining Humboldt Brews. Phillips performs regularly at Humboldt County venues including Humboldt Brews in Arcata.
