Kept

Kept is an Arcata, California band whose nimble, explosive sound fuses pop-inflected math rock with sudden bursts of angular noise, balancing melodic, almost jazzy passages against heavily distorted guitar and dexterous fills. The five-piece features Elinor Carbone on vocals, Sam Oetinger and Jack Hallinan on guitar, Vivian Dawn Spear on bass and Eli Featherstone on drums, drawing on influences such as Palm. The group made its live debut on May 30, 2025 and released the EP This Much I'm Certain Of, becoming a fixture of Humboldt County's grassroots music scene.
