Jordan Smart

Jordan Smart is a folk singer-songwriter based in Ludlow, Kentucky, whose raw delivery moves between achingly personal songs, satirical talking blues, and urgent topical protest anthems. Drawing comparisons to John Prine, Malvina Reynolds, Phil Ochs, and Woody Guthrie, he writes with a deep sense of empathy and humanity, often accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and harmonica. His song "Apple Don't Fall" won the Gems in the Rough contest in 2023, and his 2025 album Confessions of a CEO, recorded with J. Tom Hnatow at Small Blue Studio in Lexington, gathers eleven protest songs. He performs primarily as a solo acoustic artist.
