Jon Spencer

Jon Spencer is an American singer, guitarist, and bandleader whose feral collision of punk, garage rock, and Mississippi hill-country blues helped redefine the sound of noise rock. Best known for fronting Pussy Galore, Boss Hog, and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, he now performs under his own name with bassist Kendall Wind and drummer Macky "Spider" Bowman of The Bobby Lees. Their 2024 mini-LP Sick of Being Sick! and 2026 full-length Songs of Personal Loss and Protest deliver hyper-driven garage punk built on fuzz bass, powerhouse grooves, and Spencer's trademark hollering. Based in New York City, the trio continues to tour relentlessly across North America, Europe, and Japan.
