Joel Paterson Trio

The Joel Paterson Trio is led by Chicago guitarist, vocalist and steel guitarist Joel Paterson, a mainstay of the Chicago roots scene for over two decades. Alongside bassist Beau Sample and drummer Alex Hall, the group plays a vintage-inspired blend of jazz, blues, rockabilly, country and western swing, and has long held a weekly residency at Chicago's historic Green Mill Cocktail Lounge. Paterson is also an in-demand session musician who has recorded and toured with the Cactus Blossoms, JD McPherson, Pokey LaFarge, Deke Dickerson and Kelly Hogan, and in 2026 joined Bob Dylan's touring band.
