Joel Paterson's Blues Jam

Guitarist and steel guitarist Joel Paterson is a longtime fixture of the Chicago roots music scene, originally from Madison, Wisconsin. Leading a rotating cast of Chicago's finest players, his blues jam serves up vintage jazz, jump blues, rockabilly, country and western swing in the tradition of Les Paul, Chet Atkins and T-Bone Walker. Paterson has recorded and performed with the Cash Box Kings, Devil in a Woodpile, The Western Elstons and The Modern Sounds, and has appeared on records by JD McPherson, Pokey LaFarge, Kelly Hogan and the Cactus Blossoms. His instrumental albums, including Hi-Fi Christmas Guitar and Wheelhouse Rag, have earned him a following well beyond the Midwest.
