Jess Carey

Jess Carey is a Northern California songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and dreamer making dreamy fuzz folk that pairs soft-rock warmth with introspective, diaristic lyrics. Their debut full-length, Outlier (September 2025), was recorded between KRFH's Humboldt State studio and home in Blue Lake and Arcata, with production and instrumentation from Polimana and additional vocals from Asher Semonsen. A pair of 2026 releases followed in quick succession: the lo-fi bike house demos and La Quimera, the latter written and tracked entirely on an iPhone during a month spent farming in the mountains of Costa Rica. They perform regularly around the Arcata area, including the Sunny Brae Porch Fest.
