Jeff Landen

Jeff Landen is a Blue Lake-based guitarist, vocalist, mandolinist and songwriter celebrated as a Humboldt County local legend for his blues sensibility, slide guitar skills and New Orleans flavor. Originally from rural Indiana, he moved to Pasadena in 1970 and to Humboldt in 1976 to attend HSU (now Cal Poly Humboldt), and has lived in Blue Lake for 17 years. He is a 35-40 year member of Louisiana Roots & Zydeco band Bayou Swamis (with Randle Lundberg, Kate Koemel and Marla Joy) and also performs with The Big 8 and The Brothers Demarkov, plus a monthly solo residency at the Logger Bar playing swampy originals, Cajun-spiced tunes, Southern soul and vintage country.
