Hildaland

Hildaland is a transatlantic folk duo that weaves Scottish and American traditional music through fiddle and mandolin. Orkney-born fiddler Louise Bichan and Indiana-raised mandolinist Ethan Setiawan met at Berklee College of Music and first played together in the four-piece outfit Corner House before forming their stripped-down duo. Their debut album Sule Skerry arrived in 2023 on Adhyaropa Records and was longlisted for the 2024 Scottish Traditional Music Awards Album of the Year, followed by the 2025 instrumental EP Fiddle Tunes. Now based in New England, the pair blend Scottish, old-time, bluegrass, and Scandinavian influences into original and reworked tunes.
