Groovus

Groovus is a traditional jazz trio of pianist Brian Holland, bassist Steve Pikal, and drummer Danny Coots, formed as a smaller incarnation of the Holland-Coots Jazz Quintet. The group plays a joyful, hard-swinging blend of jazz, blues, stride, boogie-woogie, ragtime, and pop, drawing on the Great American Songbook and early jazz repertoire. Their debut album, All We Know, highlights the trio's virtuosic interplay and has made them a favorite on the traditional-jazz festival circuit, including Eureka's Redwood Coast Music Festival.
