Fo Fera

Fo Fera is the alt-folk project of multilingual singer-songwriter Serah Blackstone-Fredericks, based in Arcata, California, in Humboldt County. Built around mellow acoustic guitar and deeply personal, story-driven lyrics, her music moves through heartbreak, despair, and triumph with a folk-soul, quiet-storm sensibility, drawing on Brazilian Portuguese, Latin, and Old Irish influences. Her catalog includes the singles Ends of the Earth, Honey, Are You Broken, Bloody Rainbows, Cœur douloureux, Exhale, Oi Coitadinho, Bring It All Back, and Una Salpicada. She has performed across the North Coast and the Bay Area, including Sunnybrae Porchfest and the North Country Fair in Arcata.
