Flipper

Flipper is an American punk rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1979 and known for its slowed-down, bass-driven, heavily distorted and deliberately slovenly style. The classic lineup of Bruce Loose, Ted Falconi, Will Shatter and Steve DePace released the seminal debut Album – Generic Flipper (1982) and Gone Fishin' (1984) on Subterranean Records. The band's abrasive, feedback-drenched sound influenced grunge and noise-rock acts including Nirvana and Melvins, and the group has continued in various incarnations since reuniting in 2005.
