Fairie Folk

Faerie Folk is a Portland, Oregon-based progressive folk trio led by pianist and composer Troll Hart with violinist Sean "Jotunn" Aldas and vocalist Joy Joye. Formed in spring 2020 to reconnect with ancestral folk traditions, the group reimagines traditional Irish reels and jigs, Swedish tunes and medieval fantasy soundtracks with acoustic piano, fiddle, recorders and voice, blending Celtic, neoclassical and jazz influences. The trio released its self-titled debut album in September 2025 and performs regularly at their home tavern 13th Moon Gravity Well while sharing an all-acoustic sound devoted to Mother Earth.
