Elephant Stone

Elephant Stone is the Montreal psych-pop project of songwriter and sitarist Rishi Dhir, blending Western psychedelic rock with Indian classical instrumentation such as sitar, tabla, and dilruba. Debuting in 2006 after Dhir's departure from The High Dials, the band has released six acclaimed albums, toured North America and Europe, and earned a Polaris Music Prize longlist nomination. Anchored by longtime members Miles Dupire, Robbie MacArthur, and Jason Kent, the group's recent work finds Dhir producing and mixing at his own Sacred Sounds studio, with the 2026 album ASHA marking their most intimate and emotionally direct statement yet.
