Durand Jones & The Indications

Durand Jones & The Indications is an American retro-soul and contemporary R&B group formed in Bloomington, Indiana in 2012 by vocalist Durand Jones, singer/drummer Aaron Frazer, and guitarist Blake Rhein while students at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Part of the soul revival movement, they first recorded their 2016 self-titled debut on a Tascam four-track for $452 before signing to Colemine/Dead Oceans and releasing American Love Call (2019), Private Space (2021) and Flowers (2025). Known for lush vocal harmonies, vintage 60s/70s soul aesthetics mixed with modern disco and synth-soul, and energetic live shows, they have built a large following including the California lowrider community.
