Drop Of The Pure

A Drop Of The Pure is a Connecticut-based folk ensemble specializing in Irish traditional, Celtic shanty and drinking music. Their repertoire centers on lively pub songs, sea shanties and traditional standards, documented on their 2012 self-titled debut and the 25-track live album 'Live on St. Patrick's Day' (2020) recorded at The State House in New Haven and My Place in Newtown, CT. The core lineup of Greg Mayer, Tucker Smiley, Patrick and Dan Dalton (with guest MorganEve Swain on fiddle) blends vocal harmonies, guitar and fiddle in a modern trad-folk revival style.
