Dolly Parton tribute

Dolly Parton (1946-2026) was an American singer-songwriter dubbed the "Queen of Country," with over 50 studio albums, 25 No. 1 country singles, 11 Grammy Awards, and 100 million records sold, known for classics "Jolene," "I Will Always Love You," and "9 to 5." Born in Pittman Center, Tennessee and active from 1956 to 2026, she was also an actress, businesswoman and philanthropist whose Imagination Library has donated over 300 million free books to children. The "Dolly Parton tribute" listed for Siren's Song Tavern on 2026-08-26 is not a touring tribute band but a venue-hosted memorial listening party held the day after her death at age 80; related Humboldt tribute events featuring local singers Harmonic Howl and Ponies of Harmony were held at Arcata Playhouse on Sept 6 and Eureka Theater on Sept 26, 2026 with proceeds to the Humboldt branch of Imagination Library.
