Deke Dickerson And The Whippersnappers

Deke Dickerson and the Whippersnappers is the newest band venture from veteran roots-music guitarist and singer Deke Dickerson, backed by an energetic trio of younger Los Angeles musicians: Bert Avalos on guitar, Zander Griffith on bass, and Dylan Patterson on drums. The group plays high-energy hillbilly, rockabilly, and vintage-style country, propelled by Dickerson's singing, songwriting, and guitar work. They released their debut album, Honky Tonkin' Rhythm, in 2023 on Major Label Records, followed by the 2025 EP Hot Roddin' with Deke Dickerson and the Whippersnappers. The band has toured extensively across the United States and Europe, appearing at festivals including Viva Las Vegas, the Rockabilly Rave in England, and the Rockin' Race Jamboree in Spain.
