Dave Stuckey & The Hot House Gang

Dave Stuckey & The Hot House Gang is a hard-swinging traditional jazz outfit from Los Angeles led by guitarist and vocalist Dave Stuckey. The group plays standards and forgotten gems from the 1920s and '30s with a loose, head-arrangement approach that channels the small-group drive of Eddie Condon, Fats Waller and Wingy Manone. Formed in 2008 out of the Bonebrake Syncopators scene, the band has become a fixture of West Coast swing and jazz events, including repeated appearances at the Redwood Coast Music Festival. Its rotating cast draws on some of the finest trad-jazz players in the West, with a mission to bring the heat and keep dancers on their feet.
