Dave Kosmyna's Incendiary Seven + 2

Dave Kosmyna's Incendiary Seven + 2 is a traditional hot-jazz ensemble led by cornetist and singer Dave Kosmyna, a Toledo, Ohio native and Professor of Music at Ohio Northern University. The group specializes in the New Orleans jazz of the 1920s and '30s, drawing on the repertoire of Louis Armstrong, the Hot Five and Hot Seven, and other early jazz pioneers. Kosmyna writes the head arrangements and leads a rotating cast of top traditional-jazz players, and the band has appeared at festivals including the Redwood Coast Music Festival in Eureka, California and Jazz Bash Monterey.
