Dave & Deke Combo

The Dave & Deke Combo is a hillbilly and rockabilly band formed in Los Angeles in 1991 by rhythm guitarist and vocalist Dave Stuckey and lead guitarist Deke Dickerson. Backed by upright bass and drums, the group revived the harmony-driven hillbilly tradition of acts like the Delmore Brothers and the Farmer Boys with hot-rodding rockabilly and a comedic stage show. Their debut album Moonshine Melodies (No Hit Records, 1993) and the follow-up Hollywood Barn Dance (Heyday, 1996) made them a leading act of the early-'90s roots revival, and the combo reunited in 2005 for major rockabilly festivals.
