Datura Blues

Datura Blues is a long-running experimental psychedelic outfit from Humboldt County, California, formed in 1999 by Oryan Peterson-Jones, Owen Ott III and Garrett Kelly. Built around a revolving Pacific-Northwest cast, the band layers guitar, sitar guitar, electric phin, saxophone and clarinet into improvisational, groove-heavy jams they describe as Buddhist-boogie. Across more than two decades they have released a steady stream of live and studio recordings and become a fixture of Arcata gatherings such as the North Country Fair, sharing bills with acts like Acid Mothers Temple.
