Danza Azteca

Danza Azteca is a traditional Mexica/Aztec dance group based at Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, California. Dancers perform ceremonial dances in colorful regalia accompanied by live drumming, honoring Mesoamerican stories, natural elements, and ancestors. The group appears at cultural and community events across Humboldt County, including the annual Fiesta Folklórica and Centro del Pueblo's Día de Muertos celebration. Its members also hold practices and lessons open to dancers of all backgrounds.
