Dan Barrett's Old Fashioned Jazz Band

Dan Barrett's Old-Fashioned Jazz Band is a Southern California traditional jazz and swing group led by trombonist and cornetist Dan Barrett. Barrett rose to prominence through his work with Benny Goodman's last orchestra, Buck Clayton, and a long-running quintet with Howard Alden, and has performed at Carnegie Hall, major jazz festivals, and on Woody Allen film soundtracks. The band plays vintage New Orleans-styled jazz, Dixieland, and small-group swing, appearing at events such as the Redwood Coast Music Festival in Eureka. Its line-up has featured Bryan Shaw on trumpet and Andrew Barrett on piano.
