Colin Hancock's Texas Stompers

Colin Hancock's Texas Stompers is a traditional New Orleans jazz ensemble led by Austin-based multi-instrumentalist Colin Hancock, a two-time Grammy nominee known for his cornet, reeds, trombone and vocals. The band revives the hot jazz, ragtime and stomp of the 1920s and early '30s with period-accurate arrangements played by a rotating cast of collaborators from the international vintage-jazz scene. Hancock also leads the Austin-based Joymakers, the Original Cornell Syncopators and the New York Classic 7, and the Texas Stompers convene for festival and dance sets built for two-stepping.
