Cascadia Winds

Cascadia Winds is a traditional wind quintet based in Humboldt County, California, featuring flutist Gary Lewis, oboist Virginia Ryder, clarinetist Kenneth Ayoob, bassoonist Danny Gaon, and horn player Michael Robertson. Several members are longtime music faculty at Cal Poly Humboldt, while others perform with the Eureka Symphony and other North Coast ensembles. The group specializes in classical chamber repertoire, including Carl Nielsen's Wind Quintet, Opus 43, which it performed on the Chamber Players of the Redwoods' 2026-27 season.
