Bertha (Grateful Drag)

BERTHA: Grateful Drag is the world's first Grateful Drag band, an all-star collective of queer and allied East Nashville talent formed in 2023. Fronted by a harmony trio of Berthas and backed by a rocking all-Bertha band, the group performs a drag-infused, joy-forward tribute to the Grateful Dead in full wigs and face. Praised by Rolling Stone as giving the Dead an irreverent, joyful makeover and by Jambase for having some of the best harmonies and vocals of any Dead tribute, they blend jam, psychedelic rock and bluegrass musicianship while benefiting local LGBTQ+ organizations at every show.
