Arcata West African

Arcata West African Dance and Drum (AWADD) is a Humboldt County community group devoted to studying and performing traditional West African rhythms and dance, featuring djembe, dun dun, bells and krin log drums. Proceeds from their community dance and drum classes help bring Master African teachers to the region. They are a fixture of local festivals and markets, including the North Country Fair, the One Village Many Peoples multicultural festival, and Eureka's Friday Night Market.
